What is this game?

CSGOHunt's arena lets you create PVP match with up to 5 players. Each player picks a color and join with the same amount as the initial wager. Once the room is full, a winner is picked based on a near future EOS block, assuring all party involved that the result can not be known in advanced.

How to play

Playing is as simple as creating a room and waiting for other players to join! Click the 'Create Room' button and the three elements necessary to create a match: The number of players, the color you want to pick and the amount of credits you want to wager. Joining is even more simple, just click on any room you want to play in, since every player is placing the same amount, you only have to pick a color and request a slot. Note that a commission of 3% is taken on the total value of the match.

How does the provably-fair works

Our system use multiple steps to determine the winner of an arena making it impossible for the site as well as the players to know any result in advance. First, a server private key is generated and broadcasted as a sha256 hash to all player when the match is created. Once the match ends, the system will pick an unmined block in a near future on the EOS blockchain and wait for it to be complete and valited by the EOS network.

Once the EOS block completed, its secret hash key and the server private key are used to create a HMAC-SHA256 string to get the winning color using the following algorithm.

NodeJS

enum ArenaColor { RED = 0, GREEN = 1, BLUE = 2, YELLOW = 3, ORANGE = 4 } GenerateRoll(serverKey: string, eosSecret: string, roomSize: number): ArenaColor { let h = crypto.createHmac('sha256', serverKey).update(eosSecret).digest('hex'); let slice = h.substr(0, 8); let rand = parseInt(slice, 16); return rand % roomSize; }
